Video of Gracie

Lets hope this works, it will be my first video applied to my blog or anywhere as far as that goes.
This is a short video of Gracie at dinner time. I will try to post more but this is all new to me and I have to do a couple practice ones first. Also, my camera only takes short videos. I will have to read the manuel to see if I can add any time on my video. Boy it sure takes a long time to upload these things. Im not sure why the UFO desided to land in my kitchen while taking the video. Notice the room brightens with a strange sound in the back ground...you have to check it out...once again..something amazing with Gracie Kay.

Thank God it's another day

I am so thankful that today is another day and new day to look at things in a different perspective. I am feeling better today. I think it must be somewhat normal to go through all of these feelings of dispair. Afterall its not an easy thing to face and something you cant change or control....ugh...I hate not being able to plan my future. I always plan and know whats going to happen and when...and then...Thud!! its all taken away.
You know one smile from Gracie and things are instantly better. Its hard to see other childen laughing and playing and dancing and talking....and drawing pictures....and know that my precious child will be exempt from most of that........I am thinking of the serenety prayer right now and realizing how I need to apply it to my life.
Have a good day blog family and thanks for putting up with me.

One Year Ago

It was one year ago at this time that I found out about my Gracie having a syndrome and that she wasnt going to be like the other children....I remember not even wanting to decorate the house or put up the tree, much less shop...all the toys in the store I didnt know if she was going to be able to play with......I was so sad......I am doing better this year. Gracie doesnt know it but she's getting "Elmo Live" I hope she likes him.....

Amazing Gracie Kay

These pictures of Gracie were taken at 13 months old, she began to sit by herself and we were very very proud, this is quite an accomplishment for children that have Emanuel Syndrome. As you can see, shes looking at the camera like, yeah, so whats the big deal, I can sit... whatcha lookin at???.
